This page explains what data we collect on this site, what we do with it, how long we keep it and how to exercise your rights. It is written to be read, not to be waved at you.

Data collected
Only two forms collect data on this site.
Participation form: surname, first name, email address, telephone number, country, organisation, position, type of organisation, and the free-text motivation if you write one.
Partnership form: organisation name, website, contact name and position, email address, telephone, country, type and level of partnership considered, and the free-text message if you write one.
For security purposes we also record a non-reversible technical fingerprint of your IP address and the time of submission, in order to limit automated submissions.
Purpose
This data is used solely to review your application, send you an acknowledgement, inform you of the opening of the official website, the programme and participation arrangements, and organise the reception of delegations. It is never sold, rented or used for advertising.
Basis for processing
Your consent, given through a checkbox that is not pre-ticked when you submit the form. You may withdraw it at any time.
Recipients
The forum secretariat and the technical providers strictly necessary to run the site: the site host, the database host and the email delivery provider. No other sharing takes place.
Retention period
Applications are kept for up to twenty-four (24) months after the close of the 2026 edition, in order to follow up with participants and inform them about the next edition. After that they are deleted. Technical fingerprints used to limit submissions are deleted within seven (7) days.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, erase, object to and port the data concerning you, as well as the right to withdraw your consent. To exercise these rights, write to secretariat@africapublicworkcare.com stating the purpose of your request. You will receive a reply within one month. In Côte d’Ivoire, you may also contact the personal data protection authority (ARTCI).
Cookies and audience measurement
This site sets no advertising cookies and uses no third-party trackers. A single technical cookie records the language you chose. If audience measurement is enabled, it relies on a self-hosted, cookieless solution that collects no identifying data.
